Laugh Now..

what's your plan for when the shit hits the fan, for when you can't find a plane or a boat to get off of this land? will you swim or throw your back against the wall up in Maine, I'm just saying, they're coming after anyone with a brain. if you think for yourself about distribution of wealth or how this country's going under you'll end up in their cells, surrounded by men with guns, just focus on one, take a look in his eyes, see just what he's become. no longer like you, now he's more of a tool then a person, for the elite to divide and rule. i don't care who he was or who he used to be, he's no longer a person now just my enemy. when i say fuck the police i mean FUCK THE POLICE, no sympathy when we see them dead in the streets. we'll all be taking a side, we'll all be making a choice, some have made theirs already, some are using our voice to condemn all of them who pretend that everything will be fine but when your middle class suburbia ends, what will you do and to who or with who? what would you do to make sure that you and yours make it through these hard times? could this be the end times? it's revolution and apocalypse at the same time and i'm not sure which i'm fighting for, if crashing the gate fails we'll crash the back door. we've got to act more, all we do now's react poor, like greece the visions of the future let's attack more, the institutions we hate, we can create a new fate, fuck the state, let's work together and watch their control.. let's work together and watch their control.. let's work together and watch their control disintegrate! control will disintegrate! control will disintegrate! control will disintegrate! control will disintegrate!

With Friends Like These
02:18
|
|||
i get fed up with life once in awhile and i need to quit my job just to remember i'm alive. if you want to stand and want to smile, you are alive you are alive you are alive.
and i remember when we were young and we said we'd always care, they said we're just naive, look at their shoes look at their hair. now it's ten years down the road and twenty six years old, who would've known that we'd live so bold..
i know some folks who live in trees and others who wear business suits, both talk about living free. if you had the chance to be free, how can you decide that's not for me?
but now we look around and wonder where all of our old friends have gone, they've moved on to careers and families. they're looking down on us for doing the same thing as when we were eighteen, like it never meant anything to them but it meant something to me.
you want to laugh and say they act like they're eighteen. we act eighteen like we're still living out our dreams. in our communities we don't care what you say, do you remember that we were once the same?
but it seems like some of us forgot what those feelings were about. there's a fine line between growing up and selling out. we can live more if we buy less, let's all live more let's all buy less. live more buy less.
and now we look around and wonder where all of our old friends have gone, they've moved on to careers and families. they're looking down on us for doing the same thing as when we were eighteen, like it never meant anything to them but it meant something to me. yea it meant something to me. and it meant something to me. it still means something to me.

It's Gotta Start With Us
02:13
|
|||
if we can't change ourselves, how will we ever change the world if blue is for boys and pink is for girls? it starts with everyday, they control everything we say, some people do drugs some people pray to try to escape this pain that we call life, then we run into the night but if you need to fight to feel alive
it's gotta start with us. it's gotta start with uh uh us. it's gotta start with us. woah oh oh. it's gotta start with us. it's gotta start with uh uh us. it's gotta start with us. woah oh oh.
and we do it to ourselves. we might as well be living in shells. the people who created wealth, they're the same people that we get our ideas from. stolen land and stolen lives, I understand there's no compromise but let's remember who our enemies are and stop focusing on just fighting the symptoms. everyday when we lie, all we do is hurt the people we love, if you need to fight to feel alive
it's gotta start with us. it's gotta start with uh uh us. it's gotta start with us. woah oh oh. it's gotta start with us. it's gotta start with uh uh us. it's gotta start with us. woah oh oh.
why are people ignoring the voices we're raising? why do people still identify with their nation? why do we perpetuate, instead of erasing, their bullshit concepts when we can build something amazing? (2x)
it's gotta start with us. it's gotta start with uh uh us. it's gotta start with us. woah oh oh. it's gotta start with us. it's gotta start with uh uh us. it's gotta start with us. woah oh oh.

Only A Dream
02:12
|
|||
you taught me so much you taught me to live
you taught me to love and you taught me to give
you taught me to think and you taught me to breathe
you taught me to leave behind what i didn't need
i didn't see it back then but now i know what you mean
and i barely fit in to the radical scene
because i say what i think and i think what i feel
i won't always tell people what they want to hear
i'll be sincere, because of you i got over the fear
that appears when you always disagree with your peers
it's weird, it took years it took tears
and sometimes i still miss you til this day
i can't believe things had to end that way
and now i can't trust and i can't get close
i won't let people within arms distance at most
comatose, i feel like we were so close
to where we wanted to be, where we wanted to go
we both tried to pretend that it wasn't the end
in the end it didn't matter everything was a ghost
tell me what does it mean when you realize your dream
was only a dream it was only a dream
when you used to believe in love and fight everything
tell me what does it mean when you no longer believe
tell me what does it mean when you realize your dream
was only a dream it was only a dream
when all you got is a scene and not a community
and all the work you put in has come apart at the seems.

Meet Me In Texas
01:58
|
|||
we came up together in this shit
from punk rock shows to throwing bricks
i wouldn't be me if it wasn't for you
and thats a hard thing to admit
in the good times in the bad times
i had your back and you had mine
remember the time..
the first time we charged a police line
the pepper spray in our face
would foreshadow things to come
in the next couple of years
when you were young
what made you quit before we could start
what made you let them tear us apart
where was your heeeart
when you closed your eyes you closed your heart
when you closed your heart you took a peice of mine
i'll never get it back thats fine
it won't heal this tiiiime
i wouldn't want it to i'm gonna let it
remind me of what i'm
never gonna do
and it makes me sick all the
things that we through together
because you always knew it wasn't true
it was just something to do
just something to do
now you're..
in a city that everybody leaves
its hard to organize in the belly of the beast
it might be easier in new york or oakland
i'm sick of houston kids that keep moving to austin
of course then it's like we lost them
she moved to chicago he moved to portland
so many lost friends its becoming a joke
everyone goes where its easy
instead of where its needed the most
where its easy, not where its needed
where its easy, not where its needed
where its easy is not where its needed the most
so
meet me in texas
meet me in texas
meet me in texas and
lets fight where we stand

Until It Burns
03:14
|
|||
we can't be silenced we can't be bought
we don't believe a word that we were taught
even if they burned our infoshops to the ground
we're still here
we're driving buses, we're pushing brooms
we might have even changed your oil too
we're doctors and we're lawyers and we're teaching your children
we're still here
it wouldn't be enough for them to see us fail
they wanna see us all dead or in jail
and we will no longer exist
if we let them prevail
to all you punks with circle A patches on your clothes
elitest cliques are not how communities grow
even if you stop acting like stupid bros
it's not enough to book shows
we've gotta fight and we've gotta create
we've gotta build the world we want destroy the things that we hate
we gotta keep in mind that its never too late as long as
we're still here
i thought the anarchists all died in '36 in spain
that became this thing that everybody was saying
this was in new york back in ninety eight
now all the fashion punx i know
wear studded vests and the studs are always cones
pyramids are so five years ago
and i'm not even gonna pretend
that im ok with how they treat women and their friends
or acceptance based on how well you follow a trend
they're on the run
yea they're runnin scared
they try to deny it but ask them why the g8 wasn't in chicago
they're on the run
yea they're runnin scared
(i mumble something about trying to hide it?)
we're gonna do this for our whole lives
we're never ever gonna run and hide
when the time comes we'll up the fight it
and if they catch us we'll swallow tabs of cyanide
i live my life on my own terms
i'm gonna die on my own terms
i'm gonna fight until it all buuuuuuuurns
until it burns
until it burns
until it burns
unti it all buuuuuuurns
